Privacy

EduFundraising is pre-launch. This page describes how the product handles data today. It is not yet a reviewed legal document.

What we store

Account details for the people who sign in (name, email, a hashed password), and the fundraising records their parent group creates: the businesses and people they plan to ask, contact details for those businesses, notes about interactions, and connections between parents and local businesses.

Information about people who never signed up

A parent group records details about local business owners and, in the connections feature, about people outside the app — a relative or friend who might make an introduction. Those people have no account here and did not agree to be listed. We treat that data as need-to-know: it is visible only to members of the group that entered it, it is never sold or shared, and it is never used for advertising.

Who can see it

Every record belongs to one organization. Members of that organization can see its records; nobody outside it can. Platform administrators can see counts and activity levels for operating the service, not the contents of any group’s prospect list, notes, or connections.

Where it lives

On a private database server in the EU, reachable only by this application. Backups are encrypted in transit and retained for a limited period.

Deleting things

You can delete your account from your profile. Deleting your account removes you as a member but does not delete your organization’s fundraising history — that belongs to the group, not to one volunteer. An organization owner can request full deletion of the group’s data.
